I notice 2 types of people at extreme opposite ends of the spectrum ✌
The first group consists of folks who aren’t aware that they can actually charge for their talents.
They are always doing charity. They not only let others abuse their skills but also their time 🆓
On the flip side, there’s a sizable number of people attempting to monetize everything.
These people will watch an AI course and start selling their own course for Rs 99! 😑
I feel it’s about creating a balance – between freedom of creativity and a business model ⚖
For me, there are activities I genuinely enjoy, but I’m not interested in doing them for someone else because that usually comes with a bunch of strings attached:
- Restricted time
- Their inputs and thoughts hindering my creativity
- Lack of true freedom when it comes to resources
- Expectations of support and hand-holding to make them successful
I’d rather relish the process and journey for most of these things 😄
Conversely, there are certain things I’d never do without getting paid, no matter what! 👑
Ultimately, it’s all about striking that balance.
Empowerment is knowing that you can monetize these learnings and skills at any point in life 🏆
